“On the eighth day the baby was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was born.” Luke 2:21 Like all fathers you chose your son’s name before he was born. The angel told Mary and Joseph to name their child, Jesus.......which means "Savior"...."the Lord is Salvation".
A specific name, for a specific purpose. His name told everyone exactly why he had come, and who he was. We should have no doubts about Jesus.
Many do have doubts and refuse to believe he is who he says he is----or who You say he is. Jesus---- our Savior. Our one chance to be free. Our one chance to get rid of the burdens of sin and death that weigh us down.
Savior, save us! All we have to do is ask, to seek him, to knock on the door of heaven, and he will answer. All we have to do is call his name----Jesus! Savior!
